Gospel singer, Panam Percy Paul has escaped death after his car somersaulted several times as he travelled from Jos to Abuja.
According to a source who visited the veteran singer in the hospital, Panam was driving alone with his driver when the accident happened just after Keffi, in Nasarawa state.
“He was driving to Abuja to come take a flight to Lagos. He was alone with the driver and his car somersaulted over eight times. The car was a write-off but he’s doing well in the hospital,” the source said.
The state of the driver is still however unknown as at press time. Panam is one of the oldest gospel singers in Nigeria and he is said to have laid the foundation of contemporary gospel music in the country. He lives in Jos, Plateau state.
