President Muhammadu Buhari is set to unveil his preferred presidential aspirant today after meeting with the governors on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
The meeting which commenced around noon on Tuesday would afford the president to discuss the consensus candidate with the governors who are regarded as critical stakeholders in the party.
The President is expected to jet out of the country later in the day for Madrid, Spain for a two-day visit.
Chairman of the PGF and Governor of Kebbi, Atiku Bagudu Abubakar, is leading the APC Governors to the meeting.
Not left out of the meeting is the National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
Twenty-three aspirants are being screened by the John Odigie-Oyegun-led APC screening committee.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who is expected to be screened by the committee, is absent from the meeting.
