Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has officially declared his intention to contest for president in 2023 on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, InfantNG learnt.
He made the declaration on Wednesday in Abuja.
Fayemi pledged to “retool the Armed Forces and security agencies”.
He also promised decentralisation for the government to be brought closer to the people.
The Ekiti State Governor assured other aspirants that “I will adhere to the highest standards of decorum and decency.”
The event was attended by many dignitaries including a former Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun; former Senate President, Ameh Ebute; former Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Prof. Modupe Adelabu; and many traditional rulers.
