The All Progressives Congress, APC has formally announced a new zoning formula for various National Working Committee, NWC offices.
The announcement is coming ahead of the party’s March 26 national convention.
According to the zoning formula released on Wednesday in Abuja, the office of party’s National Chairman was zoned to North Central.
This finally put paid to the justling from contestants from other zones.
Some of the contestants that would be affected by the formula are a former Governor of Borno state (North East), Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, and a former Governor of Zamfara State (North West), Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari.
With the national chairman zoned to the North-Central, the South West got the edge to produce the National Secretary.
The office of the Deputy national chairman goes to South East zone.
