As thee 2023 election gathers momentum, a new and interesting twist was added today as a102-year-okd woman formally declares interest in running for presidency.
The 102-year-old founder of the Voice for Senior Citizens of Nigeria, Mrs Nonye Josephine Ezeanyaeche said if the young good people will not run, she will begin her campaign to occupy Aso Rock.
Madam Nonye, popularly called the “Living Legend” said this when she paid a visit to the management of the Nigerian Television Authority, (NTA).
President of the group, Caro Nwosu quoted Ezeanyaeche as saying, “If Nigerians are shying away from political participation, she says she is ready to contest. She has already prepared a manifesto for herself; she has the vision. If the good ones don’t come out to contest.”
Nwosu also said Madam Nonye is ready to throw her hat in the ring anytime from now. ” She has the manifesto already and you will see everything when the time is ripe and if the young people will not contest.”
