It was a black Thursday in Ibadan Oyo state as armed robbers reportedly attack a bullion van at the Iwo Road area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
At least two policemen have been killed while many others are in critical condition, also many passersby were hit by stray bullet with many sustaining fatal wounds.
The commotion caused by the hoodlums led to the area been deserted while the operation lasted.
Our correspondent gathered that lives were lost as at the time of filing this report, but the number of casualties were unknown.
Infantng gathered that the robbers allegedly fired several shots at the escort van in a bid to intercept the van and cart away the money.
It was further learnt that the police command launched a manhunt for the fleeing robbers, with the assurance that they would be arrested.
