…And his thoughts on seven other matters
In a rare interview with Channels Television, President Muhammadu Buhari spoke about some key phrases. This is President Buhari unscripted.
2023 elections: It’s not my problem. I am not interested in who succeeds me. Nobody should ask me to come and give evidence in court. Whoever it is would be in trouble because all the important things are on record. I made sure of that.
Preferred Candidate: No I wouldn’t mention my favourite because he may be eliminated if I mention him. I better keep it a secret.

His Legacy: I think my legacy is that I tried to make sure that we conducted ourselves with integrity, that means we stopped all the stealing as much as the system can allow. We stopped misappropriation and for Nigeria it is very important. The young population of Nigeria has high expectation that we manage the resources properly and they understand resources are being managed properly and if they don’t, if they rebel, there will be trouble.
Young Nigerians: I wish when they go to school, work hard and earn a degree, they don’t do it thinking government must give them job. You get educated because an educated person is better than uneducated one even in identifying personal problems. So education is not just meant to hang on to government to give you job or what the colonials indoctrinated on.

PDP: Failure
Lagos Ibadan Expressway: Well look at it, is it not on? Lagos-Ibadan. If we get the Chinese to work on it, it would have been working long before now.
2nd Niger Bridge: Go and ask the people of the Southeast, they are celebrating before it is even concluded.

INEC: Are you criticizing a professor? I think the professor is doing his best. He has told us about the elections that would come up before the general election in 14 months or so.
