Nigerians are asking what is left of their normal life as terrorists masquerading as bandits planted a bomb in the tracks of a Kaduna bound train on Wednesday and fired several shots at the driver and the fuel tank.
On Thursday, another train according to Senator Shehu Sanni, on which he was a passenger ran over another explosive damages rail. “It took a miracle for us to escape,” Sanni said.
Subsequently, the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has suspended all services on the route citing security concerns.

In a statement posted on its website, the NRC said” Due to unforseen circumstances, train services have been immediately suspended for the safety of our dear passengers. Efforts are in place to restore service. Further information would follow immediately service is restored.”

The bandits have been terrorising Nigeria throughout the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari who is seen as having tacit support for them.
The President has refused, despite pleas to proscribe the group and tag them a terror group. This would have enabled the military take decisive actions against them.
