From Elohor Igbru, Abuja
There are many versions regarding the method through which a popular Abuja chef, Emeka Eloagu met his end. While some say he was poisoned, others said he was strangulated by “two mysterious persons he had allowed into his home.”
However, one thing is without debate, Emeka was found at his home, tied up, naked and dead.
The deceased was a well-trained chef who paid his dues at the Le Cordon Bleu Paris where he earned a Grande Diplome in cuisine and patisserie.

On return to his country, Emeka had huge dreams and that is to explore the intersections between French palate and Nigerian ingredients. He found a space at Helenes Food Company where he was the creative director. This made him an instant star and soon he began to move in the circles of celebrities and the high and mighty.
Emeka believes that food was not just food, but an art and good food connects people and places and it is an important aspect of cultural heritage.
But on Sunday, that dream was stripped naked and left on the pulpy floors of his apartment, with life snuffed out.
The Federal Capital Territory Spokesperson Mariam Yusuf said the police are still investigating to ascertain the cause of the death.
