Some unknown number of robbers have successfully penetrated Nigeria’s safest house, Aso Rock.
The robbers attempted to burgle the residence of the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari in the villa.
According to sources, though the house was broken into, it was not certain any state document was stolen.
Senior Special Assistant on Media to the President, Mallam Garba Shehu also confirmed the incident on his verified Twitter handle.

Shehu said there was a ” foolish attempt” to burgle the house at 3:am this morning but there is nothing to worry about.
A Boko Haram Attack?
There have been reports that bandits and terrorists have laid siege to the Federal Capital following President Muhammadu Buhari’s reluctance to end insurgency in the country.
Some security experts who spoke to Infactng said this could be a dress rehearsal to see how fortified the Aso Villa is.
Nigeria is currently under the siege of armed criminals and kidnappers with the Federal Government seemingly incapacitated in dealing with the situation.
