President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his condolences with the General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, over the death of his son, Pastor Dare Adeboye.
In a statement signed by the Senior Special Adviser on Media to the President, Mr. Femi Adesina, Buhari prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased while expressing his condolences.
Pastor Dare Adeboye, 42, was said to have died in his sleep on Wednesday in Eket, Akwa-Ibom where he was pastoring a church.
He was the Assistant Pastor in charge of Region (Youth) 35 and said to have ministered the previous day.
The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo also a pastor in the church visited the General Overseer early today commiserating on the sad loss of our beloved Pastor Dare.
According to his spokesperson, Laolu Akande, the VP was accompanied by Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun & Minister of state for Labour, Festus Keyamo.
Meanwhile, Nigerians have taken to social media to mourn Adeboye’s son whom he fondly referred to as ” our first miracle child.”
Many expressed great sadness at the turn of events for a man who has been a source of inspiration and strength for many in Nigeria.
