Fans will no longer hear Chidinma Ekile, the beautiful singer who captured national television in 2010 when she won the third edition of MTN Project Fame sing about her “kedike”, the single track that won many hearts and stayed top of the chart after the competition.
Instead, they will hear her sonorous voice singing about love for Jesus, the “Jehovah Overdo” in another album released to mark her birthday.
The album also marked her switch from secular music back to gospel where she was before the fame.

” My name is Minister Chidinma Ekile. I’m a crusader of the gospel of Jesus Christ,” she announced on her social media handle.
A video was also uploaded showing her singing in a church and declaring she was sharing her testimony.
Fame came early for the dimunitive Ìkòròdú Lagos singer after project fame. A series of collaborations with already established acts in the industry guaranteed her the maximum exposure.
Corporate organizations soon came calling with multimillion endorsement deals while headline shows were handed over to her.
In recent years however, she has been forced to the background, watching many young and contemporary artistes fill the spot she once occupied.
Her decision to revert to gospel may mean the guarantee of more fulfilling times in music, she may also find gospel music more rewarding.
With success in gospel music she will make history as one artiste who was able to make her mark in both genres of the Industry.
