A faction of the Islamist terror sect Boko Haram has claimed that it shot down the missing Nigerian Air Force (NAF) jet, killing the two pilots onboard.
According to the online medium HumAngle, the terror group released a video shooting down the fighter jet mid-air.
The video according to the medium also showed the Islamist fighters carrying RPG and artillery equipment as well as the corpse of a pilot and other debris.
The NAF had on Wednesday declared the aircraft missing while spokesperson Air commodore Edward Gabkwet had on Friday said the jet is presumed to have crashed.
