Former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose today begin what may kickstart his political ambition for the 2023 general elections.
The former governor and a chieftain of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in a statement said he met with former military leaders, General Ibrahim Babangida and Abdulsalam Abubakar in Minna, Niger State.

“Today in Minna, Niger State, I met two great leaders, former Military Heads of State, General Babangida and General Abdulsalami Abubakar. We had fruitful discussions on way forward concerning the country’s security, economic and political challenges. Consultation continues,” Fayose said.

It is not clear if Fayose, who had made disprited attempts at the presidency in the past will be running for President in 2023.

His party currently bedeviled with internal crisis which has made it to provide a feeble opposition to the Buhari government however may not be willing to field a politician so controversial.
