Chaos as police clash with ENDSARS protesters in Abuja

As the ENDSARS protest, which has engulfed many states in Nigeria enters the third day, protesters in Abuja were allegedly battered by
personnel of the Nigeria Police Force.


It was gathered that the Police fired teargas at some of the protesters and used batons to beat up others.


Nigerians from across the country have been protesting the brutalityand harassment being meted out against Nigerian youths by operatives
of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Sq(FSARS).


Images from the event showed protesters as they marched towards the police headquarters in Abuja been ambushed by a detachment of armed mobile policemen. It was gathered that some protesters were injured in
the chaos that followed while others were arrested.


However, one of the leaders of the protest and publisher of online newspaper, Sahara Reporters said in a tweet that all four protesters
detained at the Maitama police station have been released.
